This month: Marc MacGlashan

Bluegrass mandolin player extraordinaire, Marc MacGlashan, is known for his work with award-winning bands as well as his educational contributions to the national bluegrass mandolin community.

A Nashville native, MacGlashan grew up on his grandparents' farm, "Parson Green," which he cites as a major influence on his development as a person and musician.

In the early 2000s, MacGlashan was a full-time member of the Gibson Brothers, an IBMA award-winning and grammy nominated bluegrass band. During this time, he recorded multiple albums and played with them at major venues including the Grand Ole Opry.

Marc is a truly  masterful mandolin player who brings both fire and finesse to every tune he plays. Joined by brother Dave MacGlashan on bass and guitarist Chuck Van Meter on guitar, this, without doubt, will be one exciting show!

 Big Howdy

Together with Ira Gitlin on bass and Tom McLaughlin on mandolin, Big Howdy sounds unlike any other band. And that's the way they like it.
