Austin-based singer-songwriter JM Stevens brings a lifetime of road-worn stories, memorable melodies, and unvarnished honesty to the stage. A former frontman of the longtime SXSW favorite Moonlight Towers, Stevens has built a powerful solo catalog rooted in thoughtful songwriting, acoustic guitar, harmonica, and a voice that feels equally at home in a quiet listening room or a late-night roadhouse.

His latest album, Wish on a River Bridge, is a stripped-down and deeply personal collection shaped by the miles between shows. Recorded largely by Stevens at East Austin Recording, the album finds him exploring old beginnings, fresh starts, and all the uncertain territory in between. With echoes of heartland rock, folk, and American roots music, the songs favor emotional truth over ornament—leaving nowhere to hide and plenty to feel.

Released in March 2025 on Stevens’ own Crosstie Records, Wish on a River Bridge takes its title from a childhood family tradition: holding your breath and making a wish while crossing a bridge. It’s a fitting image for an artist whose music is full of memory, motion, and hope for what lies ahead.
