The Grandsons serve up—a high-energy mix of roots rock, New Orleans R&B, blues, swing, soul, and sharp original songwriting. Their sound is steeped in musical history without ever getting stuck there; as The New Orleans Gambit put it, “A stock of well wrought original compositions makes for a sound that is inspired by the past, but not stuck in it.”

Led by guitarist and vocalist Alan MacEwen, The Grandsons bring a deep groove, sly humor, and dance-floor-ready drive to every show. Expect tenor and baritone sax powerhouse Chris Watling, bassist Moe Nelson, and drummer Antoine Sanfuentes to keep the music loose, lively, and impossible to sit still through.
