Curious musical minds come together in Soul Purveyors. Experience with bebop and blues, rock and jam, and the classic songs of every era come to bear on music drenched in soul. The band plays music with — and from the — heart: funky jazz and aching ballads, rock that grooves, and songs that move you.

Drummer Brian Rosenthal and bassist Tyrone Cabalu hail from the bands Great Northern and their “Rain and Snow” side project, but they love Marvin Gaye as much as Jerry Garcia. Vocalist Amy Wilson (The Jerry Tripsters, On the Bus, Colleen n Crew), resonates just as fully to Joni and Linda Ronstadt. Keyboard wiz and singer Will Layman (Ten Feet Tall, Better Off Dead, Grateful Allman Band Experience, The Xtet) is built from equal parts Thelonious Monk, Donald Fagen, and Bernie Worrell. Larry Bisgaier (The Wavelength) is a guitar slinger out of Charlottesville, VA with the fleet lines of jazz and the dirty licks of rock.
