The Basement is a 7 piece jazz band formed in Bethesda in summer 2019. Their energetic mix of classic and modern jazz has delighted audiences at parties and cultural events around Montgomery County. Led by ASCAP award-winning musician and educator, Nii Akwei, this vibrant group brings a youthful energy to all your favorite jazz.
