Swamp Grass

Swamp Grass is a Washington DC bluegrass outfit born out of weekly jam sessions on Capitol Hill, where things tend to get extra swampy. They tear into traditional bluegrass standards alongside modern arrangements and hooky originals, leaving plenty of room for extended improvisation and on-the-spot detours. Their live shows have become a favorite at local breweries and roadhouses, including Babycat Brewery and Hank Dietle’s Tavern, where they pack happy hour crowds with foot-stomping Appalachian hillbilly vibes and a loose, good-time feel.
