Linwood Taylor

Wolf Crescenze • Andy Hamburger

Linwood Taylor is a commanding blues guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader whose sound blends deep traditional blues roots with the fire and edge of blues-rock. A veteran of the Washington, D.C., music scene, Taylor has built a devoted following through decades of electrifying live performances, soulful vocals, and fearless, expressive guitar playing.

Drawing inspiration from legends including Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Jimi Hendrix, and the three Kings—Freddie, Albert, and B.B.—Taylor brings both reverence for the blues tradition and a fiercely individual voice to every set. His performances move easily from slow-burning, emotionally charged blues to hard-driving shuffles and full-throttle guitar workouts, always grounded in groove, feel, and connection with the audience.

With touring experience across the United States and Europe and a reputation as one of the region’s premier blues artists, Linwood Taylor delivers the kind of authentic, high-energy show that satisfies longtime blues fans while winning over new listeners from the first note.
