Linwood Taylor is a commanding blues guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader whose sound blends deep traditional blues roots with the fire and edge of blues-rock. A veteran of the Washington, D.C., music scene, Taylor has built a devoted following through decades of electrifying live performances, soulful vocals, and fearless, expressive guitar playing.
Drawing inspiration from legends including Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Jimi Hendrix, and the three Kings—Freddie, Albert, and B.B.—Taylor brings both reverence for the blues tradition and a fiercely individual voice to every set. A world traveler who grew up between Kenya, Poland, Maine, and Virginia, Bouchie cut his teeth as a sideman for John “Big Poppa” Tilley before stepping out front with his own project, Guy Bouchie & the Heart Fixers, and the roots-rock outfit GXB. From sultry slow blues to boogie-fueled rockers, his sets showcase fiery guitar work, soulful vocals, and a crowd-pleasing stage presence honed everywhere from dive bar residencies to festival stages across the region.
