In the 70's and 80's through the mid-90's, Washington DC was teeming with great songwriters and folk venues. One of them was a simple Irish pub called Gallagher's in Cleveland Park. The songs, the conversation and the whiskey flowed and the music oozed out of the walls. Mary Chapin Carpenter and Reuben Musgrave co-hosted the Gallagher's Open Mic and later passed the reins on to Steve Erwin who will be hosting this reunion. This is a gathering of some of the regulars who performed not only at the open mic but also were regularly booked to perform there on other nights of the week.
