Four Star Combo is best described as a 1950’s ‘house-rocking band’. Drawing on an encyclopedia knowledge of early American music, an FSC set typically romps through many different genres, with a heavy dose of Rockabilly and Honky Tonk, but including Blues, Doo Wop, Ballads & Instrumentals. Sound of the band is stripped down and primal, with no attempt at modernization or any kind of damn fool 'fusion'. Repertoire includes well-known hits, fun obscurities, and original songs that sound like a time-warped 1950’s radio broadcast. FSC has been bringing its hard-driving traditionalism to the DC/NOVA area since 2008.
