David Goodfriend • Skip Casale

• David has played in Goin' Goin' Gone for more than 40 years. What you might not know is that he and Russ Beeker had a duo called The Beverly Brothers that played at Kramerbooks for more than a decade. David's solo act includes a few GGG tunes but mostly it's songs that he wrote that the band never played, songs that move inside his soul, songs he sings to his living room walls. 

• Skip played a lot of drums and guitar in his life until having an epiphany about music. He had an experience of knowing he could play the blues, and he just had to do it. He says surrendering in music is being drawn to play and being able to say, "I am a musician." Then, you just go with what you play in the moment. He also says, "Music is available to everybody." And it's important to just start, and you can learn to play music like being in a conversation.
