CGT Jazz Collective performs a happy hour set at Dietle’s on the third Wednesday of each month. The two core members, each bringing more than 30 years of experience on the DC scene, team up with a guest artist to provide you with fresh, exciting jazz.

Washington, D.C.–area guitarist Chuck Underwood is a sought-after performer, producer, and educator known for his versatile jazz-based style. He has recorded and performed with leading regional artists including Marshall Keys, Ron Holloway, Jon Ozment, and Scott Ambush; toured with Patti LaBelle; and appeared as a guest soloist with the National Symphony. A four-time Washington Area Music Association nominee for Best Jazz Instrumentalist, Underwood leads the Chuck Underwood Trio and performs with the Dixie Power Trio, Monkey Paw, and other area projects.

Byron McWilliams is a Washington, DC–area drummer and vocalist. He performs with the Chuck Underwood Trio, the Beltway Brass Quintet, and the New Orleans-style Dixie Power Trio/Mardi Gras Kings.
