The Airport 77’s • Prabir Trio
CD RELEASE
• The Airport 77s are flying again! In their first live appearance of 2025, DC's pilots of power pop celebrate the release of their JEM Records long player "Don't Let Go" and unveil their new bass player Gina Cocco - a face Dietle's regulars may recognize. The show will also feature Cal Everett, the Washington rock legend who contributed several songs to the new record. The band also features guitarist Andy Sullivan (Dirty Bomb, the Magmatics) and Washington's John Kelly on drums.
DC rock cognoscenti have been buzzing about the 77s since their 2021 debut "Rotation" set the power pop world on its ear. If you've seen this band before, you know what to expect -- a nonstop cavalcade of upbeat, harmony soaked rock n roll. If you haven't seen them yet, you're in for a treat.
If you like Cheap Trick, the Cars, the Knack (and Paul Collins Beat, Bram Tchaikovsky, Rick Springfield...) we think you'll like The Airport 77s.
